"BLOW THE TRUMPET IN ZION!" was the "wake up call" from God to His people through the prophet Joel to convict them of their backslidden spiritual condition and to the impending judgment coming through the Babylonian army because Israel had rejected God's Word.
Just before Jerusalem fell to the Babylonians in 586 BC the Jews were experiencing an unprecedented time of prosperity and ease and false prophets were everywhere prophesying blessing and prosperity. The same things were happening again in Jerusalem in 70 AD just before the Roman legions captured the city and destroyed the temple.
Today the Church in the Western nations is in a backslidden state. While there is a faithful remnant today they are scattered and in many cases rejected by many churches in Mainstream Christianity.
The countries that experienced the reformation in Europe such as Holland, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany for over 500 years now are spiritually bankrupt and by and large are in spiritual decline.
In America, England and Australia evangelical Christianity is also on the decline as many churches are turning away from the absolute standards of Scripture and turning to Post Modernism, Kingdom Now and Dominion theology, Faith Prosperity, psychology and purpose driven marketing strategies. False prophets and teachers also abound in the Church today!
Our society as a whole is spiritually and morally bankrupt and the conditions that exist today in our society are just like they were in the days of Noah before the flood came! There is no doubt that the backslidden Church in the west and western society as a whole are heading for judgment.
Now the Lord never delights in sending judgment and He wants the Church in the West to repent of its lukewarm, materialistic lifestyle and its compromise where His Word is concerned so that He can send a real and genuine Biblical revival!
Before He sends judgment He sends His Word to warn both the faithful and the unfaithful Church of persecution. The Lord does not want to see His people experience judgment but to avoid it by repenting and turning back to Him. However, He also permits persecution by the devil to purify the Church and to mobilize it to evangelize the unsaved. (Acts 8:4) There is no doubt that we are living in the very last days before the Second Coming of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Today multitudes of young believers are ignorant of what God actually teaches in His Word about Bible Prophecy. Around twenty or thirty years ago there was much more interest in Biblical Prophecy than there is today and yet the coming of the Lord Jesus is much closer now! Many earnest and sincere believers are by enlarge ignorant of God’s prophetic plan for Israel, for the Church, and for the World. Many churches today are being bombarded with Kingdom Dominion teaching and replacement theology!
When we visited South Korea we saw that false teachers, especially from America, had already started to influence the thinking of the Korean Church. One of these is that proven false prophet and teacher Benny Hinn.
At present there is a very real possibility that many churches in Korea could be spiritually seduced by the faith prosperity gospel coming out of America. The Faith Prosperity Gospel itself is in fact another gospel! There is also the danger of spiritual deception from "seeker sensitive" indoctrination and purpose driven secular marketing strategies for Church growth.
All false teachers actually lay truth and error side by side. It is a mixture of truth and error. What they offer may taste and look good like a gourmet delight spiritually speaking, but it is subtlety laced with the spiritual arsenic of poisonous heresy. Arsenic itself is a slow moving poison that cannot be detected in food when administered in small amounts, however, over a period of time it has a cumulative effect ending in death. False teaching does the same spiritually. As God's Word says, "A little leaven, leavens the whole lump!"
We believe that many of these false teachers probably started out as honest servants of the Lord Jesus Christ and the gospel but have become spiritually corrupted through pride, covetousness and the love of money. The preaching of the cross is no longer central to their doctrines. They usually take a certain general Biblical truth and make it central to their preaching and teaching. For example the Faith Prosperity teachers take the subject of prosperity which is in the Bible and misuse the scriptures concerning it to promote covetousness. Any gospel that does not centre in Christ died, Christ rose and Christ coming again is another gospel!
When I was at Bible college back in the 70's our heroes were men like D.L.Moody, R.A.Torrey, John Wesley, George Whitfield, General Booth and the great missionaries like Hudson Taylor and C.T, Stud and not those today who drive around in limousines, stay in five star hotels, who wear expensive clothing and jewellery, bouffant hairstyles and have the audacity to call themselves prophets, teachers and apostles!
Today multitudes of Christians are also going in for Psychotherapy, psychology, secular marketing strategies for Church growth and visualization techniques and trying to mix these philosophies with God's Word but God says in His Word that He never accepts a mixture. There are these and other spiritually seductive false teaching and practices spreading like gangrene through the Church today and we will deal with these issues in this website.
A famous preacher once said that a ship in the water is okay but that water in the ship isn't, likewise, the Church in the world is okay but the world in the Church isn't! Today more than ever we need the pure grain of God's Word to stave off the spiritual famine in the professing Christian Church. God's Word, the Bible, is the foundation of everything we are teaching through our website and our aim is to simply present what the Bible actually teaches without embellishments or additions.
We believe there is a need to teach about Biblical Prophecy but more from the Jewish way of understanding it rather than by using western hermeneutics
Biblical Prophecy from the Jewish perspective is pattern and not prediction. This is described at length in our study called "Understanding Biblical Prophecy". In other words Prophecy has multiple partial fulfillments that are similar in pattern but that all point to an ultimate fulfillment at the end of this present age.
We want to provide General Bible Teaching on various subjects relevant to the Church today including expository teaching.
We believe that it is important to not only include topical teaching but also expository teaching as well. There is nothing more satisfying that being able to go through God's Word verse by verse. We also want to include some evangelistic teaching for those who may be in the Church who have never really been born again by the Spirit of God.
By God's grace our website will be progressive
We will be adding subjects on a regular basis. Our only desire is to see the Lord Jesus Christ and His Word honoured in the Body of Christ and to provide a teaching resource for believers and for anyone else who wants to have a better understanding of God's Word.
We want those who are young in their faith and are hungry for the pure grain of God's Word to be spiritually nourished by God's Word. We believe that God's Word will not only give them a foundation for their faith but also warn them about the spiritual seduction infiltrating the Church today.
We hope that this website will stimulate, challenge and encourage believers to search the scriptures daily as the Bereans did in the book of Acts. God Himself has said, "My people perish for lack of knowledge." The only way to know the difference between truth and error is to have a solid understanding of God's Word.
As it is written in the Psalms, "Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path." And again it is written, "Your Word O lord; it stands firm in the heavens."
And again it is written, "The entrance of Your Word gives light." Again it is written, "The Sum of Your Word is Truth." The Lord Jesus Himself said, "Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God!" And again the Lord Jesus Himself said, "Sanctify them by the truth; Your Word is Truth!"
Many churches today are talking about the unity of the Spirit especially where ecumenism is concerned but they forget that the Holy Spirit is "The Spirit of Truth who goes out from the Father" and that He will lead us into all truth and never endorse error or wrong doctrine. The people in these churches may claim to have unity where ecumenism is concerned but by what spirit? Certainly not by the Spirit of God!
As a personal note both my wife and I are very grateful to the Lord for the teaching ministry of Jacob Prasch of Moriel Ministries for the may insights we have gained about understanding Biblical prophecy from the Jewish perspective. In our prophecy teaching we have used Jacob's teaching as a resource and reference in developing the Jewish way of understanding prophecy.
Also over the years we have been greatly blessed by the teaching ministry of Derek Prince especially where Biblical Prophecy is concerned.
The purpose of this website is not to bring some new revelation or doctrine but to seek a deeper understanding of God's truth already revealed in His Word.
It is only through knowing what God has already said in His Word that we will be able to discern the times in which we are now living and to test all things and to prepare ourselves now for the 'night' of the Great Tribulation and for the glorious appearing of our Great God and Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ who rescues us from the coming wrath!
